 | | Butyl Pond Liner v Epalyn Pond Liner Pond Liner Comparison
Is Epalyn Pond Liner as good as Butyl?
The answer to this question is not as simple as you might think. Could it be possible to supply a new, top quality liner for the same price as the old Butyl?
Butyl is the one rubber sheet on the market that spells quality. It is a material that has had no major problems in the past and has been amazingly consistent in the sheer number of different installations it can be used for. Alternative materials have come on to the market and just as quickly left again. Butyl can be manipulated into various shapes and sizes, but more importantly it can be repaired on site or in the factory using a hot bond machine. This makes it one of the few linings and certainly the only rubber liner that this can be said for UNTIL NOW!!!
Unlike other rubber products already on the market, Epalyn EP is still flexible, pliable and as easy to work with as 0.75mm Butyl. Epalyn EP can be vulcanised in the same process as Butyl and therefore can be used in all the same aquatic installations including Tailored/Box welded liners. The material specifications show that of the physical properties tested, Epalyn EP is as a minimum equal to butyl in all respects, in fact it exceeds Butyl in over 60% of the results, proving it to be a higher quality product. Externally Epalyn EP rubber looks and feels exactly the same as the previously unrivalled Butyl rubber.
Don't be the last to know
Epalyn EP has given us the chance to maintain the price of our rubber for yet another season. So along with better quality and the ever looming prospect of a speedy price increase in the cost of Butyl polymer and therefore Butyl rubber, our Epalyn EP rubber sheeting is looking ever more like an excellent prospect for the future.
