Aquarium water can become contaminated by dyes, metals and chemicals which affect the purity and clarity of water and endanger the health of fish.
Using carbon in the filter is the best way to remove these contaminants.
It out performs other aquarium carbons as these typically come from a single source and are only effective at removing either metals, or dyes, or chlorine and odours.
Interpet Activated Aqua Carbon can be used to remove all of the following: -
- Excess or unwanted aquarium treatments
- Heavy metals e.g. Copper
- Chlorine from tap water
- Yellow colouration (typical of aged water)
- Brown staining from bogwood or peat.
- Complex toxic organic chemicals
